First came the Shake: tectonic
plates scraped past each other, unleashing the equivalent of 6,000,000
tons of TNT!
The first tremor scored 8.25 on the Richter Scale, and
they felt it all the way to Vancouver--where it was 11.6 (Canadian Richtre,
with exchange rate).
After the Shake came the Bake: three and a half days of burning of America's tenth largest city, civilization's largest fire. (add dramatic music here)
Communication lines, water lines, and whiskey lines were all down. Nearly a quarter million were homeless and more than 28,000 buildings were destroyed.
Did the City survive?
You'll have to take Shake & Bake to know for sure!

Shake & Bake explores the causes and effects of the Great Earthquake and Fire of 1906, and how it still impacts the City's personality to this day.
Comedy equals Tragedy plus Time. We think enough time has elapsed since 1906 to explore this tragedy in a fun, humorous, yet very informative way.
